Build and sell n8n templates

An n8n template is a workflow file someone imports and fills in. You build one that does one boring job well, prove it with saved runs (including the ones it got wrong), package it so a stranger can set it up in ten minutes, and list it.

It fits when you like building things, you'd rather make something once than look after clients, and you're comfortable with tech.

Week 1: one job

  • Write the job in one sentence. If it needs two, pick the smaller one.
  • Build the first version in n8n with a free local model.

Week 2: prove it

  • Run it on eight real examples. Save every execution, wrong ones included.
  • Fix what you can; write down what you can't.

Week 3: package it

  • A setup guide a stranger can follow in ten minutes, and the saved runs.
  • A 'what it does not do' section above the price.

Week 4: list it and give one version away

  • List it on a marketplace you can lawfully sell on.
  • Give a smaller version away, so people can see it work first.

The limits, before you start

Templates are easy to copy and the marketplaces are crowded. Proof (real runs) is what makes one worth buying, not the idea.

No one can promise you income from this, and we won't. As of November 2026 the business behind this site has earned $0, and it says so in public.
