Set up FAQ bots for local businesses
A small business answers the same questions every day: opening hours, prices, delivery. You set up a bot that answers from notes the owner writes, and hands anything else to a person. You charge for the setup, and for looking after it.
It fits when you like talking to people, there are businesses near you, and a tutorial is enough to get you going.
Week 1: pick and learn
- Score three local niches (repeated questions, cost of a missed message, can you walk in).
- Install n8n and Ollama. Get one workflow to answer a test message.
Week 2: build one bot
- Build a bot that answers only from a list of facts, and says it doesn't know otherwise.
- Add the handoff: a message it shouldn't answer goes to a person.
Week 3: test it like a buyer would
- Run ten real-looking questions, including three it should refuse. Keep every run.
- Write what it does not do, in plain words.
Week 4: one honest conversation
- Show it to one business you can walk into, on your phone, in two minutes.
- Whatever they say, write it down. That is your market research.
The limits, before you start
It only works where customers already message the business. A bot that guesses is worse than no bot, so the refusals matter more than the answers.
No one can promise you income from this, and we won't. As of November 2026 the business behind this site has earned $0, and it says so in public.
